Biography
Scott Pattison has spent more than two decades advancing STEM education and learning as an educator, program developer, evaluator, and researcher. He is an expert in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, with particular experience in participatory and design-based approaches. Scott has served as principal investigator, collaborator, and evaluator on numerous grant-funded projects across education settings and has led and evaluated a wide range of broader impacts initiatives in partnership with researchers and communities. His work centers on uplifting community voices and building authentic, sustained collaborations that drive systemic change. Before joining the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Broader Impacts, Scott co-founded and co-directed the Center for Equitable Family STEM Learning at TERC, where he partnered with families, educators, and organizations nationwide to support more just and inclusive STEM education systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Science Education from Oregon State University and a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Oregon.
