Research Experiences for Teachers

A Faculty Member Helps An A High School Teacher Assemble Their Summer Research Project In A Classroom

The Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) at the University of Notre Dame is a summer research program for teachers in the Michiana region. The projects will be directed by faculty members from several academic departments in the Colleges of Engineering and Science at the University of Notre Dame.

Participating teachers will be encouraged to create new curricular modules for use in their classrooms. Program lengths vary from four to eight weeks and participants receive a stipend and three non-degree graduate credit hours. Stipend amounts are determined by the length of the program and the number of hours required in the lab or classroom per week.

Interested teachers and faculty members can visit our Resources page for additional tools and information.
